Who we are

GrandHotelReviews.com is a small, independent team of writers and travelers who got tired of hotel reviews that read like brochures. We write the kind of practical, slightly opinionated notes we want when we're planning our own trips.

How we review

We pay for our own stays. Every hotel listed on this site was visited by one of our writers within the last 24 months. We don't accept comped rooms, sponsored placements, or affiliate deals that influence our rankings.

• Every review is based on at least one paid overnight stay.
• We disclose any prior visits, comps, or relationships at the top of the review.
• If our opinion changes on a re-visit, we update — and timestamp the change.

What we cover

We focus on the U.S. with a small slate of international destinations we've personally visited often enough to feel confident about. We're not trying to be Tripadvisor — we'd rather have 200 great reviews than 20,000 thin ones.
